Andratec GmbH is a German medical device company specialising in the development and commercialisation of minimally invasive cardiovascular technologies. Founded in 2013 and certified to ISO 13485/9001 and EN 46001, the company holds CE marking across its product portfolio and operates under the quality standards recognised by the German Federal Ministry of Health.
The company was established by Andreas Kohl (CEO), a cardiovascular industry veteran with prior roles at Cordis Johnson & Johnson and Abbott Vascular; Dipl. Ing. Gunter Kohl, an engineer with a track record of patented device designs; and Dijana Mahmic (BA International Relations), who leads global partnership and communications strategy. In 2015, Dr. med. Dipl. Ing. Malte Neuss, a paediatric cardiologist, engineer, and holder of multiple patents including the Exeter Snare and Optimus Stent, joined as a partner, bringing his intellectual property exclusively to Andratec.
Andratec’s focus is the interventional cardiovascular field, with particular emphasis on proprietary, high-performance devices for complex minimally invasive procedures. The company’s products are distributed internationally under registered Andratec trademarks, with market presence continuing to expand across multiple regions.
Andratec actively engages with clinicians, inventors, and industry partners to identify and develop technologies with the potential to advance patient care. Organisations or individuals with relevant innovations are welcomed to initiate dialogue through the company’s established partnership framework.
